Lodging Food Business Directory Hey editor ! Town profile The Rim |
Welcome to Young !![]() |
| Young, Arizona is famous for the Pleasant Valley war
between the cattle ranchers and the sheep herders. To visit Young and Pleasant
Valley, you'll need to travel from on top of The Rim west of Forest Lakes (turn
south at the huge aspen grove) and continue about 24 miles down a winding dirt
road. You will travel along Pleasant Valley before getting to Young. The towns
are riddled with old buildings, windmills and artifacts dating before the turn
of the century... not this past century, the one before, the
1800's. The towns are on The Rim and enjoy all four seasons, cool summers, mild winters, blazing autumns and vivid springs, in the tall pines of Northeastern Arizona. These areas have always been friendly and relaxing. Most of the "locals" know each other on a first name basis and aren't afraid to look each other in the eye. This site is dedicated to helping people get familiar with this neck of the woods and to enlightening locals and flatlanders with what's happening here. This site is virtually new, any and all input you can give is greatly appreciated. On the left is a button which will allow you to criticize the editor and/or add comments of how to better improve this site. The way I see it, this benefits all of us with more and better information. This winter would you like to know the road conditions ?, this summer would you like to know the fire conditions ? What's the U.S Forest Service have to say about our back yard ? What's your chances of catching the big fish ? Hopefully this will be successfull enough to keep up with all the local happenings and allow you to add you voice to the community via the Internet. |
