Welcome to Forest Lakes !![]() |
| FREE COMMUNITY WEB PAGES.... The Rim is setting up free pages for community, non-profit, charitable organizations and/or causes for the benefit of the area. To apply for this, email editor@therim.com and let us know. Forest Lakes is about half way between Payson and Heber/Overgaard on the top of The Rim. The town is actually now a number of subdivisions and is currently headed by the Forest Lakes Owners Association, www.floa.org . In this area on top of the Rim you'll find a restaurant, rental cabins, easy access to the rim lakes and tall ponderosa pines. Forest Lakes is at a 7,000 to 7,700 elevation with allows for deeper snowfalls and moister summers. These towns are on The Rim and enjoy all four seasons, cool summers, mild winters, blazing autumns and vivid springs, in the tall pines of Northeastern Arizona. These areas have always been friendly and relaxing. Most of the "locals" know each other on a first name basis and aren't afraid to look each other in the eye. This site is dedicated to helping people get familiar with this neck of the woods and to enlightening locals and flatlanders with what's happening here. This site is virtually new, any and all input you can give is greatly appreciated. On the left is a button which will allow you to criticize the editor and/or add comments of how to better improve this site. The way I see it, this benefits all of us with more and better information. This winter would you like to know the road conditions ?, this summer would you like to know the fire conditions ? What's the U.S. Forest Service have to say about our back yard ? What's your chances of catching the big fish ? Hopefully this will be successful enough to keep up with all the local happenings and allow you to add you voice to the community via the Internet. |
