Hey editor !

Town profile
Welcome to Kohl's Ranch
Kohl's Ranch lies between Payson and Christopher Creek along highway 260. The Ranch has a creek running through it which is a combination of Tonto Creek and Horton Creek. From these creeks, Christopher Creek is formed. The fish hatchery is located about three miles due north of Kohl's Ranch.
Within Kohl's ranch is a lodge, restaurant, rental cabins, camp ground and fire department. The town supports itself through resort tourism. Zane Grey, a famous author of southwestern books and novels, had his cabin here before fire took it in the 1990's.
Zane Grey had written several books. The author used this area and many towns along the Rim as the back drop to these stories. If you would like to get more of the flavor of the area these books are a good starting point.  These towns are on The Rim and enjoy all four seasons, cool summers, mild winters, blazing autumns and vivid springs, in the tall pines of Northeastern Arizona. These areas have always been friendly and relaxing. Most of the "locals" know each other on a first name basis and aren't afraid to look each other in the eye. This site is dedicated to helping people get familiar with this neck of the woods and to enlightening locals and flatlanders with what's happening here.

This site is virtually new, any and all input you can give is greatly appreciated. On the left is a button which will allow you to criticize the editor and/or add comments of how to better improve this site. The way I see it, this benefits all of us with more and better information. This winter would you like to know the road conditions ?, this summer would you like to know the fire conditions ? What's the U.S Forest Service have to say about our back yard ? What's your chances of catching the big fish ? Hopefully this will be successfull enough to keep up with all the local happenings and allow you to add you voice to the community via the Internet.
